Memories of the Year

With only 12 days left of school I would a memory book in teacher-pay-teachers for my kiddos to put together. Since this week is our testing days it was something nice for them to put together.

It was fun for me to see what they thought of me, their schools, and what they liked throughout the year.

Thanks to “First Grade Fever by Christie” for this awesome idea. You can get her Memory book by clicking here, and check out her blog here.

Last Assessments

It is coming down to the wire in getting my assessments done. We just finished our formative math test today, Friday we will be taking our very last formative test, and this week I am testing them for the last time on their letters and sounds.

I have just started testing them by using a "sight word book" that I made up. All their words were put into a document with shading circles by each word so that they could shade in the words they knew. Since next school year we are starting the Leader In Me program they students will have to keep track of their own progress, yes even at the Kindergarten level. This is a great way for them to see how many words they know from quarter to quarter.

This is in my teachers pay teachers store if you want to snag it up for yourself. To head to my store click here.

Enjoy!

Welcome!

Happy Blogging!
I am thrilled to be entering into the blogging world to share my ideas, tips, and stories along the way.

Now, a little bit about myself!  I'm currently finishing up  my 1st year of teaching.  I am currently teaching Kindergarten at Old Kings Elementary School in Palm Coast, Florida. I have learned MANY things in my first year and cannot wait to share most of these things as I go through my next year of teaching Kindergarten. We have done many amazing projects and activities that I am dying to share.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog!
