With only a few
days left of school it has been quiet crazy here in room 135.
Friday was field
day, with a camping theme. The kids started out making smores, I know what your
thinking they roasted marshmallows and made smores, but no they actually had to
run to a kiddy pool and make a smore out of colored foam paper. Each smore had
to consist of two tan pieces, one brown piece, and one white piece. Our class
came in third place :(
Next we did archery,
the kids had to shoot a rubber arrow through a circular target. If you hit the
board that was one point and through the circle was two points, and of course
we won. We actually kicked butt with making 22 points while the next closes was
15. :)
Then we did a fun
event. The kids had to take a wet, and clean, mop head and go over the head and
under the legs all the way through the line until everyone got a chance to
start it off. The point was for the kids to get wet.
Last was tug of
war and well…we lost :( but we got a sno-cone for all
the fun we had.
The kids all sent
in money for shirts and I put what they wanted to be when they grew up on the
back.
Then Monday we
had our end of the year musical program. Parents came and watched us preform
with all the other kindergarten classes. Afterward, we came back to room 135
and had an ice cream party with our family members.
Today and
tomorrow are half days so lots of playing games and watching movies. While the
kids watched a movies I put up our new word wall for next year. Im actually
excited about it.
